Traditional Villa – Tsakanos “Sirma”
Klima which is the biggest fishing village of the Milos island has "sirmata", rare buildings in Greece with characteristic architecture.
A "sirma" according to the locals is a place which is dug in soft rock and looks like a small caves. Their role was to protect the boats from the strong winter winds. As time passed though, a "sirma" became a permanent residence for fishermen's or a summer house for the locals without loosing its character. They stand right next to the sea or one to two meters away from it and it is painted with bright colors (red, green, yellow, brown, blue).
Our traditional villa - Tsakanos "Sirma" - in Klima has two floors. On the ground floor you will find a sitting room, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom and a storage. On the first floor you will find a second sitting room, a bedroom with sea-view, a toilet with shower and a balcony with a beautiful sea-view. Also you will find another bedroom with view to the sea on the loft of the sitting room.
You can enjoy the peace and quiet of the area as your car will be parked at the nearest road 500 meters away since Klima has no streets - just sea. The only sounds you can hear are the waves and the seagulls.
You can watch the fishermen's life up close, the serenity in their faces and their warm smiles. It seems that time has stopped in Klima. We are willing to provide you with whatever you need.
The only thing you need to do is enjoy the peace-fullness the area offers.
