We are prood of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our premises and operate in accordance with the recommendations by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Greek Government guidelines.

To ensure that our sanitary measures are exceedingly sufficient, we have partnered with a world-leading provider in testing and inspection to certify that the appropriate safety standards and cleaning protocols are in place to allow Tsakanos Accommodation to reopen.

OUR PEOPLE

Every staff member is using personal protection equipment (PPE) and has received expert training on our rigorous cleaning regime and operating practice. The training frequency has been increased, and attention is given on hygiene measures and the latest information on coronavirus. This is vital to help safeguard the health of our employees and guests.

CLEANING & HOUSEKEEPING

We enforce a rigorous cleaning regime and thorough sanitization practices in all rooms, common areas and ‘back of house’ for your safety. We have set check-out at 11:00 and check-in at 15:00 so that the rooms can be cleaned properly before welcoming the next guests. Laundry is done on-site to avoid unnecessary contact with others outside the accommodation.

GUEST CARE

We avoid overcrowding in all common areas and our quests are encouraged to use the What’s App application.

Hand sanitizer is available in all common areas and we encourage frequent use for staff and guests alike. Infrared thermometers are available at the front desk to conduct temperature checks of our guests and employees upon request. Visiting guests/friends of our guests, will be allowed with prior notice to and communication with our Reception.

FOOD & BEVERAGES

We have increased the frequency of compliance checks on our food safety standards and the cleaning and disinfection of the kitchen and storage rooms. Our personalized breakfast service remains in place so that you can prepare your own breakfast with the fresh products.

Protecting ourselves and others from COVID-19

  •     Regularly and thoroughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water
  •     Avoid unnecessary contact
  •     Avoid touching eyes, mouth and nose
  •     Cover the mouth with the elbow when coughing and sneezing
  •     Keep at least one meter (three feet) distance between you and others, especially when coughing or sneezing

BOOK & TRAVEL

As the situation continues to evolve, we are doing everything in our power to ensure your travel safety and provide maximum flexibility on your travel plans.

Considering the uncertainty at play during this troublesome time, and near impossibility to predict and confidently plan for the future, our individual booking policy is adjusted for peace of mind. We commit to closely monitor any developments if further adjustments on future bookings are required.

Our “Tsakanos Accommodation” policy is extended to all reservations within 2020 season, offering free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival, free rescheduling options, as well as 100% credit vouchers for 2021 reservations, in cases that you are entitled to a refund.

Guests who are not allowed to travel to the accommodation that they have made a reservation, under current legislation, will be exempt from the penalty of cancellation or change the booking, using – exclusively- voucher.

If your arrangements are not until sometime in future, stay assured you’ll have the time to make a decision closer to your departure rather than changing your travel plans now.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Are there any COVID-19 incidents on Milos Island?
At this point of time, we are fortunate there are no reported COVID-19 cases in Milos Island.
If I checked in at my hotel and it turns out that another guest is ill with the Coronavirus, what kind of help/support can I expect from Tsakanos Accommodation?
A response plan has been drawn in order to be able to isolate any potential incident at our accommodation. All guests will be notified accordingly. The affected guest(s) will be assigned a trained member of our Hygiene & Safety team, who will be solely attending to them. Our Reception will be at your disposal at all times for any further assistance you may require.
Can I claim money back if my holiday cuts short?
No because every Studio / Appartments/ Home is independent and guests don’t get in touch with each other unless they want to.
What care can be given, what is the closest hospital?
The closest clinic is Milos Medical Centre, 3km distance away from the accommodation (5-min drive from Tsakanos Home/Appartments) and 11km distance (10 min drive from Provatas and Klima)/ . In case you don’t feel well at any time, please notify the Reception immediately.
How do you clean and who has access at my space daily?
Housekeeping staff will have access to your room, wearing PPE at all times. Maintenance works will be avoided when rooms are occupied. In case of an emergency, guests will be notified in advance.
Which are your cooking practices and how many hands are involved preparing my food?
You breakfast (Tsakanos Home / Appartments) is served in your room at the time you choose, on a tray or basket, by a member of our staff, who has the necessary equipment and follows all the rules of Hygiene & Safety. All food come wrapped (disposable packaging) so you can prepare it yourself in your fully equipped kitchen.
Upon your arrival at Tsakanos Sirma / Cottage House you will receive a “welcome basket” with wrapped ingredients for your first needs.
How can I reach Athens in case I'll get ill?
If you do not feel well at any time, you should contact the Reception of the group so that we can immediately inform the Milos Health Center at 2287360000 and the National Public Health Organization (EODY) at 1135 or 210 5212054 (24 hours a day), for further instructions and information regarding the return of the patient to Athens.
